Riverview’s continuing growth in both people and jobs has prompted a national extended-stay chain to build its fourth Tampa Bay hotel right here.
Uptown Suites broke ground for its new Riverview hotel (Tampa Bay) on Nov. 16 and plans to open with 129 rooms in fall 2018.
This will be only the second hotel in Riverview. The Hilton Garden Inn Tampa/Riverview/Brandon is also located in Riverview.
Uptown Suites will be located at 4011 Foxworth Road adjacent to the McDonald’s at Pavilion Crossings, just south of the U.S. 301 and Falkenburg Road intersection.
“We always look for areas close to big retail establishments and partners,” said Virginia Swords, director of marketing for Uptown Suites, based in Atlanta. In Charlotte, we are near Charlotte Motor Speedway and in Homestead, we are near that speedway.
“For Tampa and Riverview, we decided to pick this location because of the growing population and the job growth.”
